Your Toyota Dealer’s Guide to the 2024 Toyota Tacoma

Two Powerful Powertrain Options

The entry-level SR comes equipped with an excellent 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. In most of the Tacoma’s trims, this standard engine will generate up to 278 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft of torque. The design is at its most powerful when paired with the eight-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence. This transmission, shortened to ECT-i, is a new option for the 2024 Tacoma.

In 2024, the Tacoma is getting an available hybrid powertrain, which is notably the Tacoma’s most powerful powertrain ever. Drivers interested in this option will want to consider the TRD Pro or Trailhunter trims, where the hybrid is standard. The hybrid is available on the TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, or Limited trim levels. The hybrid powertrain, known as the i-FORCE MAX, adds a 48-horsepower electric motor to the Tacoma and generates up to 465 lb.-ft of torque.

Eight Trim Levels

Toyota has designed eight excellent options for the 2024 Tacoma. They begin with the entry-level SR, which comes with an available five-foot truck bed or six-foot truck bed for even more space. The SR5 adds 17-inch alloy wheels, and the TRD PreRunner adds a utility-focused rear storage space to the six-foot cargo bed. You’ll love the sport-tuned suspension in the TRD Sport.

The TRD Off-Road focuses on the trail, and adds features like crawl control and multi-terrain selection. The Limited trim adds a power up and down tailgate for easier cargo access. In the Trailhunter, you’ll love how easy it is to navigate rough terrain with the high clearance of the front bumper. Your top-tier TRD Pro adds IsoDynamic performance seats with a dampening system for an even more comfortable ride.

Infotainment

Toyota has made significant cabin upgrades for the 2024 Tacoma, especially in infotainment. Your entry-level Tacoma will come standard with an eight-inch touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for easy connections. There is an available 14-inch multimedia touchscreen for an even more impressive display. Other available technology features include a smartphone charging pad, and available USB-C charging ports for second-row passengers.

The Tacoma is a great truck for working hard, going on big adventures, and hitting the trail. Enthusiasts will want to see the big upgrades for 2024 in person. Visit Rochester Toyota now to see our wide selection of new vehicles.
