This warranty will cover just about everything in your Toyota for 3 years, or until you’ve driven 36,000 miles in it, whichever of those two comes first.
2. Powertrain Protection for 5 Years/60,000 Miles
When your bumper-to-bumper coverage expires, fear not, because Toyota still offers warranty coverage on your new vehicle’s powertrain for up to 5 years, or until you’ve clocked 60,000 miles on your Toyota. While not as extensive as the bumper-to-bumper warranty, Toyota’s powertrain protection still covers the essentials: your engine, transmission, and drivetrain (including all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive components if applicable).
3. Accessories Warranty for 3 Years/36,000 Miles
This part of the warranty will cover you for any Toyota-brand accessories you add to the vehicle at the time of purchase, and that coverage will last for 3 years or 36,000 miles. There’s even coverage available for Toyota-brand accessories you add later on, but this coverage lasts for 1 full year from the time of installation rather than the 3 years offered when installed upon purchase.
4. Corrosion Perforation Protection for 5 Years/Unlimited Miles
Depending on where in the country you live, rust is going to be more or less of a problem, but regardless of where you are you’ll be given 5 years of unlimited mileage for coverage for any perforations on your vehicle’s body panels due to rust. This means that Toyota will replace/repair any spots where your vehicle’s body rusts through during the first 5 years of its life. A definite blessing for those who live and drive where the roads are salted every winter!
5. Hybrid Battery Warranty for 10 Years/150,000 Miles
If you’ve chosen to go the route of buying one of Toyota’s lauded hybrid vehicles, their warranty package has a little something extra to offer you, too! The recently-upgraded hybrid battery warranty from Toyota will cover issues with your vehicle’s battery, electric drivetrain, and other hybrid-related components for 10 years or 150,000!
