The Highlander’s standard engine is a 3.5-liter V-6 that creates 295 horsepower. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front- or all-wheel drive. With the hybrid models, you’ll get a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors for a combined 243 horsepower. The hybrids also come in front- or all-wheel drive and have a continuously variable automatic transmission.
