Updated October 2026. All prices on this page are 2026 base MSRP from Toyota.

Shopping for a full-size truck and want the short version? This guide covers what you need to pick the right 2026 Tundra: what each trim costs, which engine to choose, how much it pulls and what to ask us before you buy.

The quick answer: ten trims, base MSRP from $41,260 to $80,800, a twin-turbo V6 or a hybrid V6, and up to 12,000 pounds of towing.

What is new to know about the 2026 Tundra?

Every 2026 Tundra uses a twin-turbo V6 and a 10-speed automatic. You choose between the gas i-FORCE and the i-FORCE MAX hybrid, which adds an electric motor. Underneath is a fully boxed steel frame, and the bed is aluminum-reinforced composite instead of plain steel.

You can get it as a Double Cab or a CrewMax, with a 5.5, 6.5 or 8.1-foot bed. Four-wheel drive is available on every trim.

MSRP is Toyota's published 2026 model year base MSRP and does not include tax, title, license, or delivery/processing and handling fees. Dealer-installed options and fees are extra, and the dealer sets the final selling price. Est. MPG is Toyota's trim-level estimate, varies by cab and drive system, and should be confirmed on the window sticker. Prices, specs and availability can change; see dealer for details.

Which trim should I pick?

  • Work truck or farm use: the SR or SR5. They cost the least and are the only trims with the 8.1-foot bed (Double Cab). The SR5 adds a hitch receiver, a built-in trailer brake controller and TOW/HAUL mode.
  • Everyday family truck: the Limited. You get a 14-inch touchscreen, 20-inch wheels and leather-trimmed power seats. Go with the Limited i-FORCE MAX if mileage matters, since it has the best estimate in the lineup.
  • Comfort first: the Platinum, 1794 Edition or Capstone. The Platinum has a power panoramic roof. The 1794 Edition has Saddle Tan seats with American walnut trim. The Capstone tops it off with 22-inch wheels, 12-speaker JBL audio and semi-aniline leather.
  • Trails and back roads: the TRD Pro, or one of the TRD packages on other trims (more on those below).

i-FORCE V6 or i-FORCE MAX hybrid?

The i-FORCE V6 makes 389 hp and 479 lb-ft on most trims. On the SR it is rated 358 hp and 406 lb-ft. It is the cheaper way into a Tundra and handles most trailers just fine.

The i-FORCE MAX makes 437 hp and 583 lb-ft, the most torque you can get in a Tundra. It is an option on three trims (Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition) and comes standard on the TRD Pro and Capstone, which do not offer the V6. Expect to pay $3,700 extra for it on a Limited, and roughly $6,900 extra on the Platinum or 1794 Edition, by base MSRP. If you pull a camper or a big boat often, that torque is worth a test drive.

How much can the Tundra tow and haul?

The top ratings are 12,000 pounds of towing and up to 1,850 pounds of payload. Those are the best-case numbers for specific setups. Cab, bed, engine, drive system and options all change what a given truck is rated for, so check the door-jamb label on the one you buy.

A few things that make towing and work easier, depending on trim:

  • Trailer Backup Guide with Straight Path Assist for backing up a trailer
  • Power tow mirrors
  • A 120V/400W outlet for running tools at the job site
  • Deck rails and a camera that shows the bed
  • A power vertical rear window on the CrewMax

Which Tundra is best off-road?

The TRD Pro is the one built for it. It comes with the hybrid and four-wheel drive, FOX shocks with a 1.1-inch front lift, 18-inch BBS forged wheels, Falken WILDPEAK all-terrain tires and a TOYOTA heritage grille with an LED light bar. Base MSRP is $72,565.

If you want some of that without the TRD Pro price, the TRD Off-Road, TRD Rally and TRD Sport packages are available on select trims, including the SR5. Contents and pricing change from trim to trim, so give us a call and we will pull up the details for the truck you like.

What tech and safety features does it have?

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is one of the Tundra's main listed features. Like any driver-assist system, it helps you, it does not drive for you. Other features you can get, depending on trim and packages:

  • Panoramic View Monitor, handy in tight parking lots
  • 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster
  • 14-inch touchscreen
  • Heated and ventilated front and rear seats, plus massage seats
  • Power panoramic moonroof

Plenty of these are optional, so check the window sticker or ask us what a specific truck has.

The Tundra comes in ten colors, and three of them cost extra: Wind Chill Pearl, Supersonic Red and Wave Maker. Not every color is offered on every trim. Paint looks different in person, so come see it on the lot.

2026 Tundra FAQs

What does a 2026 Tundra cost?

Base MSRP goes from $41,260 for the SR to $80,800 for the Capstone. Most people we talk to land somewhere in the middle, like the SR5 at $46,510 or the Limited at $54,860. Tax, title, license and fees are not in those numbers, and the dealer sets the final price. Call 507-252-2503 and we will price the exact truck you like.

How many trims are there?

Ten. Five run on the i-FORCE V6: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum and 1794 Edition. Three of those (Limited, Platinum and 1794 Edition) also come as i-FORCE MAX hybrids, and the TRD Pro and Capstone are hybrid only. The table on this page lists each one.

How much can it tow?

Toyota rates the 2026 Tundra at up to 12,000 pounds of towing and up to 1,850 pounds of payload. Those top numbers only apply to certain setups, so your truck may be rated lower. Check the door-jamb label, or ask us to look up the rating before you hook up a trailer.

Should I get the V6 or the hybrid?

If you tow heavy or just want the most pull, get the i-FORCE MAX. It makes 437 hp and 583 lb-ft. If your loads are lighter and you want to spend less, the i-FORCE V6 is the move at 389 hp and 479 lb-ft. The hybrid runs $3,700 more on a Limited and close to $6,900 more on a Platinum or 1794 Edition, by base MSRP.

What kind of gas mileage does it get?

Toyota's trim estimates run about 18 to 20 mpg city and 20 to 24 highway. The Limited hybrid is the best of the bunch at 20 city and 24 highway, and the TRD Pro is lowest at 18 and 20. Towing, cold mornings and short trips all pull those numbers down.

Is there a good Tundra for Minnesota winters?

Any of them, as long as you get four-wheel drive. It is available on every trim and comes standard on the TRD Pro and Capstone. Then look at heated seats and the other cold-weather comfort items, which change by trim and package. We can show you which trucks on the lot have them.

Can I trade in my current truck?

Yes, and owing money on it is fine. Get a starting number from our online trade tool, then bring the truck by so we can look at it and firm up the offer. We roll any payoff into the new deal and will put the numbers in writing for you.
