The 2025 4Runner comes in nine trims. The TRD Pro stands out with its unique FOX suspension, massive 33-inch Toyo all-terrain tires, and a unique Ice Cap color. It also has TRD Pro-exclusive styling and 18-inch wheels made of solid aluminum. The Trailhunter trim offers unique 18-inch bronze-finished wheels and a new Everest color. It's also lifted 2.5 inches with ARB Old Man Emu shocks. The SR5 trim comes with bright headlights and 17-inch wheels. The Platinum trim adds a sunroof that opens and heated side mirrors. The 2025 4Runner offers a standard i-FORCE 2.4-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, delivering 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. For those seeking more power, an available i-FORCE MAX 2.4-liter turbocharged hybrid powertrain outputs up to 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. This potent powertrain lets it tow up to 6,000 pounds.

The 2025 4Runner has an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes in two-wheel drive, part-time four-wheel drive, or full-time four-wheel drive options. The TRD Pro and Trailhunter models come standard with a new Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism for improved suspension articulation off-road. The SUV can also handle steep angles, with a front angle of up to 32 degrees and a back angle of up to 24 degrees.
