2019 Toyota RAV4

The gas-powered 2019 RAV4 is available in five trim levels: LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure, and Limited. The hybrid model is available in LE, XLE, and Limited trim levels. <br></br> The 2019 RAV4's exterior shows off its rugged personality. Flared fenders and sharp creases add to the exterior's toughness quotient. The Adventure trim level features a distinctive exterior including an aggressive front grille, roof rails, and larger overfenders, as well as an available Ice Edge-colored roof. <br></br> Toyota's New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform provides a wider, longer stance, giving the RAV4 a unique, bold look. The platform also makes handling more responsive and a stronger core smooths out your ride. Plus, TNGA creates a naturally more spacious interior.

The 2019 RAV4 packs a dynamic force 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine that gets 203 horsepower. The powerful engine is paired with a direct shift 8-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission.

The RAV4 comes with three distinct drive modes: sport mode, which provides sharper acceleration, ECO mode, which maximizes fuel efficiency, and normal, which blends the best of both worlds, bringing together performance and fuel economy. <br></br> The RAV4's multi-link rear suspension improves handling, working alongside the natural body rigidity to maintain steady traction. The dynamic torque vectoring all-wheel drive improves responsiveness and stability, distributing power to the appropriate wheels when necessary. Additionally, multi-terrain select is now standard. It comes in three modes — mud and sand, rock and dirt, and snow — that help to improve traction under any condition. When activated, the system can sense slippage and automatically regulate by adjusting drive-force distribution, brakes, and engine throttle. <br></br> The RAV4's ground clearance makes off-roading a breeze, allowing you to avoid obstacles on pathways and trails while also giving you a higher view of your surroundings. <br></br> Standard RAV4 grades are rated to tow up to 1,500 pounds. Hybrid models have a towing capacity of up to 1,750 pounds. The Adventure trim level is able to tow an impressive 3,500 pounds, so you can bring all of your toys along for the ride.

The RAV4's 7-inch color multi-information display (MID) gives turn-by-turn directions, alerts, safety info, and more at a glance so you can keep your eyes firmly on the road. An available panoramic glass roof elevates the driving experience, as do premium interior materials and the available 8-way power adjustable driver's seat with memory function. <br></br> Upgrade to the Adventure trim level, which includes a seat design with a unique pattern and orange accents to put you in an adventurous frame of mind.

The RAV4's road sign assist feature uses forward-facing cameras to detect stop, yield, and speed limit signs and displays them on the MID. When enabled, an available full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control system works with lane tracing assist, using lines on the road when detectable to keep the vehicle centered while displaying its position on the MID.
