2019 Toyota Camry

The Camry comes in five different trim levels that include the following: L, LE, SE, XLE, and XSE. Here is how each of them stacks up. The L is the base-level trim and comes standard with a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine, Entune infotainment system, 7-inch touch-screen display, LED headlights, rearview camera, and Toyota Safety Sense. The LE takes the features of the L and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support, and rear cupholders. <br></br> The SE comes with a sleek black look featuring a black grille with sport mesh insert and 18-inch black machined-finish alloy wheels. This trim also has standard color-keyed rear accents, dual chrome-tipped exhaust, and SofTex upholstery. The XLE includes either a 4-cylinder or 3.5-liter V-6 engine, Audio Plus with JBL speakers, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, and Toyota Smart Key. The XSE comes with a 10.0-inch touch-screen display, 19-inch black machined-finish alloy wheels, smoke-tinted headlights, leather-trimmed steering wheel, and interior accents.

There are two engines available on the Toyota Camry and both come with hybrid options. The lower three trims come with a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder, dual overhead cam, 16-valve engine that generates 203-horsepower at 6,600 revolutions per minute and 184 feet-pounds of torque at 5,000 rpm. The upper two trims come with a 3.5-liter, V-6, dual overhead cam, 24-valve engine that pushes 301-horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 163 feet-pounds of torque at 5,200 rpm.

The Camry is a front-wheel drive vehicle that uses a direct-shift, electronically controlled, 8-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift mode. The suspension consists of Independent MacPherson struts in the front and a multi-link setup in the rear to minimize shock transfer into the cabin. Front and rear disc brakes provide maximum stopping power and use electronically controlled braking to keep from slipping on wet or icy roads.

The cabin has ample room in both the front and back seats, so your passengers will not feel cramped regardless of where they are sitting. The seats in the lower trims are made of tear-resistant fabric and high-quality leather in the upper trims. Every trim except the L comes standard with air conditioning with an option to upgrade to dual-zone climate control. The XSE and XLE have optional moon roofs as well as a 10-inch heads-up HUD display. The Entune infotainment system comes with a wide variety of multimedia apps, GPS, and emergency contact service.

Every trim level comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense pre-collision system that has an active lane departure alert, pedestrian protection, dynamic radar cruise control, automatic high beams, and steering assist. The Star Safety System is also standard fare and includes the anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, and traction control. There are air bags in the dash, steering wheel, and front side-panels as well as standard safety glass.
