2023 Toyota Camry
A mainstay in the American sedan market since its introduction in 1983, the Toyota Camry is back for the 2023 model year. With excellent fuel economy, responsive steering, and ample cabin, this is a top choice if you are in the market for a new sedan. Here are the top features of the 2023 Toyota Camry.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Six trims are offered for the 2023 Toyota Camry: the base LE, SE, SE Nightshade, XSE, XLE, and TRD. Starting with the LE, which sits atop 17-inch alloy wheels, there are LED taillights and daytime running lights, Bi-LED headlights with auto on/off, and color-keyed power outside mirrors. The SE rolls down the road on 18-inch black machined-finish alloy wheels, adding outside mirrors with integrated turn signals. Next up, the SE Nightshade is based on the SE trim but goes with a completely blacked-out appearance, including black outside mirrors and window trim, as well as 19-inch TRD matte bronze-finished wheels.
Moving up to the XLE, you will find features such as 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels and a gloss black grille with a sport mesh insert. Opting for the XSE gets you LED headlights with auto on/off and LED accent lights along with 18-inch dark gray machined-finish alloy wheels. Finally, the TRD adds upgraded features, such as 19-inch matte-black alloy wheels, a matte black center cap with a red TRD logo, and a TRD gloss black pedestal rear spoiler.
Engine (Power)
Two engines are available, depending on the trim you select. The base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 203 horsepower and 182 pound-feet of torque, and is the standard option for most trims. The XSE squeezes more out of the same engine, getting 206 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. The TRD offers a 3.5-liter V-6 as its standard offering and will produce 301 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. You can get the V-6 option for the XLE and XSE trims. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
While front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain, all-wheel drive is available, which is beneficial if you live in snowy climates. To customize your driving experience, Toyota offers three drive modes, Normal, Eco, and Sport, allowing you to fit the configuration to the conditions or your personal preference.
Interior
The 2023 Toyota Camry features an interior and layout that is both comfortable and convenient. The base LE includes interior features such as a 12-volt auxiliary outlet, a USB and USB-C port, dual-zone climate control, and power-adjustable front seats. Other standard features include a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa integration, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The upper trims add features like an auto-dimming rearview mirror, keyless entry with push-button ignition, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a premium nine-speaker JBL sound system controlled via a 9-inch touchscreen, and ambient lighting.
Safety Features
The Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ system offers many safety and driver assistance features, including a lane departure alert, forward collision mitigation, lane tracing assist, automatic high beams, traffic sign reader, and adaptive cruise control, all standard features for all trims. The upper trims have additional safety features, such as a head-up display, a blind-spot monitor, and full-speed dynamic radar cruise control.
