Trim Levels (Exterior)
The C-HR has three trim levels this year: LE, XLE, and Limited. Here is how they stack up against each other.

The LE is the baseline trim and comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense, Entune infotainment system with an 8-inch touch-screen display, LED daytime running lights, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear spoiler, 17-inch steel wheels, and heated power outside mirrors with turn signal indicators.

The midline XLE adds a lot of features to the already well-equipped LE. It comes standard with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, vortex-styled 18-inch alloy wheels, blind-spot monitoring, a proximity key with passive entry, and puddle lights with "Toyota C-HR" projection.

The Limited comes standard with everything available in the XLE and LE trims plus many other extra features. Some of these features include high-performance LED fog lights, Entune Audio Plus package, rain-sensing windshield wipers, leather-trimmed heated front bucket seats, and optional R-Code paint treatment.
Engine (Power)
All trim levels of the Toyota C-HR use a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, dual overhead cam, 16-valve engine that create 144 horsepower at 6,600 revolutions per minute and generate 139 feet-pounds of torque at 3,900 rpm. The C-HR uses Toyota's Valvematic injection system which increases both engine output and fuel efficiency.
Performance
The C-HR uses a Continuously Variable Transmission with intelligence and Shift Mode (CVTi-S) instead of a traditional gear-driven transmission. This isn't a big top-end vehicle and drivers won't be breaking any speed records, but where this vehicle really shines is in its handling. The C-HR is a front-wheel-drive vehicle with electric power steering that uses independent MacPherson struts with a stabilizer bar, coil springs and hydraulic shock absorbers for the front suspension, and a multi-link rear suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers. The result is tight maneuverability and a smooth ride over imperfect city streets.
Interior
Inside the C-HR, drivers will find a roomy fit for up to five passengers with a respectable amount of cargo space in the trunk. The sassy interior design gives it an overall youthful look. Drivers and passengers will enjoy entertainment features such as built-in Wi-Fi. The C-HR also comes with the Entune 3.0 audio system with App Suite, including Apple Play and SiriusXM. The sound is pumped through an 8-speaker JBL audio system that can be fine-tuned through an equalizer accessed through the touch-screen display.
Safety Features
All versions of the C-HR come with Toyota Safety Sense that includes active features such as a lane departure alert, pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control, automatic headlights, and steering assist. There is also the Star Safety System which includes anti-lock brakes, traction control, vehicle stability control, and electronic brake-force distribution. The C-HR performed well in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's crash tests and earned five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
